British dailies have sped up the speculations for Aaron Ramsey to AC Milan move, as the contract-tussle continues between him and Arsenal.

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has been in a standoff with Arsenal over new contract ever since the turn of the year. With new arrivals Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitaryan currently on 200,000 pounds a week, Aaron Ramsey has also reportedly demanded a 100 percent increase in his wages.

The club, however, is reluctant on the increase.

There were reports earlier this week from Football.London that the talks between Ramsey and Arsenal are moving in positive direction, but things seem to have changed.

Daily Mail reports that Aaron Ramsey is now ‘lined up for a move to AC Milan.’ Arsenal chairman Ivan Gazidis is also among the headlines these days for his rumoured move to the Italian club, and the British outlet suggests that it might have a role to play in Ramsey’s contract situation.

Aaron Ramsey is currently on 110,000 pounds/week, and his contract is set to expire next year. If the situation doesn’t change, the clubs can directly approach Welsh midfielder for transfer discussions from January 1.

The rumours surrounding his contract, however, don’t seem to have an impact on his position as a first-team starter in the club. Ramsey has started in three of Arsenal’s first four matches this season, and has featured in all four games for the club.

The Welsh midfielder joined Arsenal in 2008, and has since been a mainstay for the club. He has made 333 appearances for the club so far, scoring 58 goals.

Arsenal have had a struggling start to their league season under new head coach Unai Emery. The club is currently 9th in the Premier League with six points from four matches.
