WWE Hall of Famer believes Kenny Omega winning the Impact World Championship is useless to Impact Wrestling

WWE Hall of Famer believes AEW World Champion Kenny Omega winning the Impact World Championship is useless to Impact Wrestling.

Kenny Omega recently fought Rich Swann in the main event of Impact Rebellion last weekend. Both men put their respective World titles on the line with the cleaner coming out victorious by the end of the match. He is now the top champion of both companies.

Speaking on the latest episode of the Hall of Fame Podcast, Booker T said that this was a cool moment for AEW but this partnership was yet to be beneficial for Impact Wrestling. In fact, if it was his company, something like this would have never happened.

WWE Hall of Famer Booker T believes Kenny Omega winning the Impact World Championship is useless to Impact Wrestling

“I don’t know what Impact is thinking right now. Maybe they’re thinking about the rub. It’s a cool moment for AEW, it’s not a cool moment for Impact wrestling unless I own both companies and I was working the fans at the same time with both of my companies. For Rich Swann to go out and lose the title to Kenny Omega, it does absolutely nothing in my opinion [for Impact].”

“Bottom line. If the champion gets beat, which is supposed to be your franchise player, your number one guy and then he goes out and gets beat. I could be wrong, but for me, if it was my company, something like that wouldn’t have gone down. That’s just me.”

Archie is a WWE and UFC Editor/Author at the SportsRush. Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
