Ricky Starks beats Brian Cage for the FTW Championship at AEW Dynamte: Fyter Fest, Night One of the two part television special.
The FTW Championship was introduced to AEW last year by Tazz. He awarded the title to Brian Cage at last year’s fighter fest. Cage held the title for 377 days before eventually losing the title to Ricky Starks at this year’s night 1 of Fyter Fest.

The two fought an intense match worthy for a title bout. In the end, it was Starks that came out on top. However, he had a little help in the form of Powerhouse Hobbs, who turned on Cage by nailing him with title, allowing Starks picking up the win.

The FTW Championship was originally created by Taz in ECW. He and Sabu were the only two holders of the title before he unified it with the ECW World Heavyweight Championship. The title was brought to AEW last year after 21 years of inactivity and it has finally changed hands, leaving Cage as the longest holder of the title at 377 days.
