Sammy Guevara has backstage heat for legitimately for injuring Matt Hardy

Sammy Guevara has backstage heat for legitimately for injuring by botching a chair spot Matt Hardy during the recent episode of AEW Dynamite.

Former WWE star Matt Hardy has reignited his feud with Sammy Guevara. The two have been at each other’s throats for sometime now and their rivalry was taken to a whole new level when Hardy found his head busted open on the latest episode of AEW Dynamite.

This was not part of the plan and Guevara botched by throwing the wrong chair at Hardy with full force. Hardy, who was legitimately wounded, received thirteen stitches to close the wound in his head.

Bryan Alvarez of  Wrestling Observer Radio has now revealed that the 27-year old has been spoken sternly by people backstage.

“Well, Matthew Hardy got about ten stitches afterwards, and Sammy Guevara got a very stern talking to by a number of people afterwards who were very upset with this,” Alvarez said. “Obviously, he was not supposed to throw the chair full force into Matt Hardy’s head. I don’t know what happened, probably got excited, but that was brutal.”

Matt Hardy has since taken to Twitter thanking AEW’s medical staff for quickly fixing the gaping hole in his face.

This injury, even if unintentional, will definitely add a whole new layer to the feud. While Guevara deserves the heat and possibly a slap on the wrist for putting a fellow wrestler at risk, AEW should be smart enough to use this in their feud and build it towards a pay off heading into the the All Out PPV next month.

Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
