CM Punk AEW Collision

Since last year’s post-All Out brawl followed by suspension, CM Punk has kept himself away from making any comment about AEW. Amid all the news about a potential buyout, The Straight Edged Superstar has been laying low. However, in the last week or so, CM Punk has responded twice to something that is related to AEW. In fact, he recently flaunted the internet numbers he drew during his AEW days.

Last Thursday, the former 2-time AEW champion reacted to the comments made by his close friend Dax Harwood on his podcast. The Straight Edged Superstar responded to Harwood’s statement that hoped Punk and The Elite to sort out their issues. Although Punk just wrote “Duh”, it was still more than what he has said since September 2022.

CM Punk posted an Instagram Story sharing some YouTube stats of AEW

This Tuesday, The Straight Edged Superstar took to his Instagram where he shared a unique graphic. It showed the most-watched videos of AEW on its YouTube channel. The graphic image Punk shared presented the data collected by Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics.

In the Story post, which will disappear by now, CM Punk was in the top two most-watched AEW videos of 2022. The one on the top was the August 10 AEW return of CM Punk. In fact, the fourth video on the list also involved the former 2-time AEW champion.

Well, CM Punk might be almost gone from AEW but he certainly has made his mark in one year. Unfortunately, there was a lot of heat against him backstage that led to his suspension last year in September.

The Straight Edged Superstar didn’t even want to win the AEW world champion

In his one-year AEW run, Punk won the world title twice, but if you ask Dax Harwood, he didn’t want to. Harwood, one of CM Punk’s close friends, is one of those few who spoke to Punk before and after the All Out controversy. Speaking on the debut episode of his podcast, Harwood revealed a lot of things about Punk.

According to the FTR member, instead of winning the AEW title, his close friend just wanted to have fun. Harwood even stated Punk took the title because he knew that would put AEW in a better light. Moreover, he claimed The Straight Edged Superstar loved the AEW atmosphere and often showcased that through his actions.

Nevertheless, in less than a week, the former 2-time champion has indirectly responded to something related to AEW. Well, considering his past posts, it could either be a hint or just him playing with his fans. Anyway, one way or another, Punk making an AEW return is far from happening as of now.
