Liverpool have continued from where they left off last season. Jurgen Klopp’s side were on a roll with 8 consecutive victories to their name and looked even more devastating then they did last season. However, their streak came to an end yesterday after their hard-fought draw with Manchester United at Old Trafford.
An Arsenal fan has now pointed out the similarities Liverpool have with a campaign they had back in the 1990/91 season. The Reds were on a similar roll 29-years back. The Reds led the way in the First Division with 8 straight victories at the start of the campaign.
However, their 9th match, against Norwich City ended up being a draw with the scoreline 1-1. The match was coincidentally played on October 20th. Arsenal would end up winning the league that season.
Reddit User Pain in the Arsenal has bought these similarities to the forefront to predict an Arsenal victory this season.
Arsenal have performed beyond expectations this season after addressing key deficiencies in the side this summer. In their 8 games so far, they have won 4 and drawn 3 with a solitary loss to their name. A win on Monday will bring them to 3rd spot, just a point behind second place Manchester City.
Do you think Arsenal can win the Premier League this season or will Liverpool storm their way to a maiden Premier League title?
