Arsenal New Manager: Mikel Arteta leaves Manchester City set to become Arsenal manager

Arsenal New Manager: Mikel Arteta set to become the new manager of Arsenal after reports of him leaving Manchester City got revealed.

Arsenal was looking to hire former player Mikel Arteta as the permanent replacement of already sacked manager Unai Emery. Meanwhile, Freddie Ljungberg is looking after the club as a care-taker manager.

According to a report by Gianluca Di Marzio, Arsenal is set to hire Arteta as their new manager, as he was spotted leaving Manchester City in order to join the North London club.

Arsenal is amidst massive performativity crises and the club chose to part ways with Emery due to it, but even after his exit, under Ljungberg, the Gunners have not progressed significantly.

On the other hand, Arteta has been tutored under the arguably best manager in the world- Pep Guardiola, since he was the assistant manager under him.

Thus, the Spaniard was deemed to be a promising manager even though he is yet to take charge of a club. Arsenal seems to be a risky place for Arteta, according to the veterans of the game but his former manager has supported him for this move.

The French manager has spoken in favour of the move and has said that he would support his former player if he takes the charge of the club as he claims to be the supporter of the club.

‘Look I am an Arsenal supporter – I said that in my last speech,’ Wenger told Sky Sports on Wednesday morning. ‘At the moment I support the manager in charge, and the manager in charge is [Freddie] Ljungberg. When Arteta will be in charge, I will support Arteta. ‘He is intelligent, he has passion, he has the knowledge, but Ljungberg [does] as well.

Both the clubs are yet to make a statement regarding this negotiation, and it remains to be seen what changes Arteta will bring amid the turmoil.
