Arsenal are chasing Lorenzo Pellegrini and Dennis Praet, according to Italian journalist Gianluca di Marzio.

Unai Emery has assumed his role at helm of Arsenal rather quickly. The Spaniard has started identifying targets to pursue this summer, as Arsenal intends to strengthen the squad.

The Spanish manager is already keen on signing Adrien Rabiot from Paris Saint Germain. Emery played a major role in the development of the midfielder, and wants to reunite with the player.

However, Unai Emery has refused to rest and wants more midfielders at Arsenal.

According to reliable Italian journalist Gianluca di Marzio, Arsenal are keen on signing Roma midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini. The North-London club are looking to begin the negotiation with Roma, owing to rapport between Emery and Roma’s sporting director Monchi. Monchi worked with Sevilla during Emery’s time at the Spanish club.

The 21-year old midfielder made 37 appearances for Roma this season, and played a key role in club’s Champions League campaign. Roma reached the semifinals of Europe’s premier tournament for the first time in their history.

Pellegrini has also received three international caps with Italy.

Arsenal are also monitoring Sampdoria midfielder Dennis Praet, according to Di Marzio. The Gunners have already began negotiations with the Belgian midfielder’s agent. According to reports, Gunners are ready to pay the €25 million release clause for the player.

Dennis Praet has been with Sampdoria since 2014, and has since been a key part of the first team. He has appeared in 69 games for Sampdoria since joining the club.

Di Marzio also reports that Praet has garnered interest from other clubs, like Napoli, Juventus, Inter and Roma. However, no club has yet started the formal process to sign the player.

Reports from Telegraph also suggest that Arsenal have agreed to release an extra £20 million pounds to the transfer budget. Earlier, Unai Emery was given a £50 million budget for the summer transfer window.
