Arsenal team news vs Liverpool

TheSportsRush brings Arsenal team news vs Liverpool, as the home team aims to continue on their terrific form with a win over Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Arsenal have been impressive in the new season so far. Unai Emery’s side has registered 11 wins in their last 12 games, with their last Premier League game ending in a 2-2 draw against Crystal Palace.

However, the Gunners face a tough test this weekend as they face Liverpool in the league. Jurgen Klopp’s side are currently 2nd in the league, level on points with leaders Manchester City.

Liverpool are unbeaten in the league, and would aim to continue their fine form in the league when they travel to the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal, meanwhile, received a setback ahead of the game as Matteo Guendouzi faces a one-game suspension, after being sent-off against Blackpool in the Carabao Cup game earlier this week. Here’s the full team news:

Arsenal team news vs Liverpool:

While Guendouzi is ruled out of contention for the game against Liverpool, Nacho Monreal, Sead Kolasinac, Hector Bellerin and Sokratis will all be assessed before the game. While Nacho and Kolasinac have suffered a minor hamstring injury, Bellerin and Sokratis are recovering from an injury to their thigh and ankle respectively.

Mohamed Elneny, Laurent Koscielny and Dinos Mavropanos are all ruled out for the game. Elneny is expected to recover in two weeks, while Mavropanos will return to full training later this month.

Koscielny has shown positive signs while recovering from the injury and is being slowly integrated to full training.

What next?

Arsenal await a tough set of fixtures ahead, as the match against Liverpool will be followed by the Europa League clash against Sporting Lisbon, and the weekend game against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Earlier, Arsenal reached the quarterfinal of the Carabao Cup after overcoming Blackpool in the round-of-16 game. The Gunners defeated the Championships side 2-1, and are drawn with city rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the quarterfinal.

The next round will take place in December. Interestingly, Arsenal will also play Tottenham in the Premier League on December 2.
