Arsenal Transfer News: Ajax superstar desires to join Arsenal this summer

Arsenal Transfer News: Ajax superstar Hakim Ziyech desires to join Arsenal this summer as the player seeks a move to England this summer.

Hakim Ziyech had a phenomenal season with the Dutch Champions, thus making him a hot property in the market amidst the summer transfer window.

The Moroccan International amassed 19 goals and 16 assist in 43 appearances for Ajax across all competitions. Thus, arousing interests of several clubs.

However, according to a statement by Dutch football expert Marcel van der Kraan, Ziyech is interested to play for the North London club, as he wishes to start playing in the Premier league.

“I know that the player is keen on a club like Arsenal, who have always played good football,” he told Sky Sports‘ Transfer Window Podcast.

“Manchester City also under Pep Guardiola play a kind of Johan Cruyff-Ajax style of football, as do Barcelona. But not all of these clubs will line up for him.

On the other side, the 26-year-year old can be a viable target for Arsenal, as Unai Emery is planning to drop Mesut Ozil from the squad as his underwhelming exhibits have brought his spot at Arsenal under threat.

Therefore, it seems that Ziyech can bolster the Gunners’ squad ahead of next season, and with Aaron Ramsey’s departure, Arsenal are in an immediate need for an attacking midfielder.

Ziyech has a contract with the Dutch outfit till 2021. However, Ajax would be ready to sell him around €40 million. The price tag seems reasonable for the player, especially in this inflated market.
