Arthur for long was targetted by Juventus as the Italian outfit wanted to bolster their ranks in midfield. However, the Brazilian was persistent on his decision to remain at Barcelona.

But with the Catalan club looking to balance their finances, they chose to sacrifice, one of their brightest assets in the club, which probably forced Arthur to consider an agreement with Juventus.

Meanwhile, Pjanic has been included in the deal and would be added into the midfield. The inclusion of Pjanic in this deal was long speculated.
