Arsenal may be set to lose their right-back Hector Bellerin as interests from Barcelona grow stronger.

In a shock move, FC Barcelona looks set to pursue Hector Bellerin from Arsenal. According to reports in Spain, Arsenal could lose Bellerin now that Unai Emery is almost set to join the North-London club as manager.

Spanish media site El Gol Digital believe that Barcelona might be set to re-sign Bellerin from Arsenal. The right-back left Barca as a youth player in 2011 for the Reds and the Whites.

Since joining Arsenal, he has appeared for them on 162 occasions. With Arsenal, he won two FA Cup trophies, as well as two Community Shields.

According to Spanish reports, Barcelona feel that Unai Emery will be easy to negotiate with, as he is from Spain.

However, the Arsenal board of directors believe that Hector Bellerin will remain at the club.

The right-back has been an important first-team player in the Arsenal squad since the past three seasons. This year, he played in 35 Premier League games. Bellerin was an integral part of Arsenal’s Europa League campaign, which ended against Atletico Madrid in the semifinal.

Arsenal had a disappointing season this year, with the club finishing 6th in the Premier League. The North-London club has already started identifying transfer targets for the next season, with Barcelona’s youngster Joel Lopez a part of the list as well.

The North-London giants recently gave him number 2 shirt. The shirt was previously worn by Mathieu Debuchy.
