Barcelona transfer update: The Catalan club’s chief executive has predicted that the player is unlikely to have a future at Barcelona.
Barcelona have had a shaky start in their campaign this season. Ernesto Valverde’s side might have regained their position at the top of the table, but the performances have been far from convincing.
The club received a huge blow in the last weekend’s game against Sevilla when Lionel Messi was forced off with an injury. Barcelona later confirmed that the Argentine star would miss the football action for three weeks.
Ernesto Valverde’s side has scored only 18 points from their 9 matches in La Liga this season. In the Champions League, Barcelona have registered convincing victories in both of their games so far, but a Messi-less side would face a tough test tonight as they take on Inter Milan.
Barcelona’s chief executive, Oscar Grau, meanwhile, has created a controversy surrounding the future of a certain player at Barcelona, if reports from Spanish outlet Sport are to be believed.

Malcom, who signed for Barcelona this season, has been on the pitch for only 25 minutes. Even when he is selected in the squad in the place of an injured Lionel Messi for the game against Inter Milan, the report suggests that Ernesto Valverde is more inclined on playing Ousmane Dembele or Munir Al Haddadi at Messi’s place.
Sport claims that Oscar Grau has said, “the player will be sold.”

Various reports in England and Spain have suggested that the two North London clubs, Tottenham and Arsenal are eyeing Malcom. Mauricio Pochettino’s side has reportedly prepared a 50m pounds bid to land the Brazilian forward at Tottenham.
What next?
Barcelona is yet to comment on the story. However, tonight’s game would be of significance for Malcom’s future at Barcelona. Both of the Barca forwards, Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez will not be in action for the club.
