Here is the Twitter reaction as Barcelona beat Atletico Madrid 2-0 in the La Liga.
Barcelona moved an inch closer to the La Liga success with a 2-0 victory over Atletico Madrid at Nou Camp. It was an even-steven game, but the hosts had enough men up front to cause damage to Diego Simeone’s side. Atletico Madrid could bid adieu to the title as they are eleven points adrift of Ernesto Valverde’s men with eight games to go.
The visitors defended really well and nullified the attack of Barcelona until Diego Costa received a red card for abusing the referee’s mother. Confusion surrounded when he was shown the marching orders, but the Spaniard was proven to be the culprit when the officiate revealed what he said at that time.
Despite going down to ten men, they defended narrowly and shut down Barcelona in the offensive areas of the pitch to give themselves a chance and nick a win. However, their resilience broke when Luis Suarez scored from outside the box to make the crowd go mad in the 85th minute. A minute later, the Blaugrana broke through the counter-attack again and Lionel Messi went past two players to slot it past Jan Oblak and complete a great victory over their title rivals.
They had to work their way out against the stubborn Atletico Madrid defence and bag all three points to put themselves in a fantastic position to lift the trophy for the second time on a trot.

Oblak was unbelievable even though barcelona won 2-0 tonight. I can watch Suarez goal over and over again and i won’t be bored at all. Messi was trying until the end and finally he scored a lovely goal. #BarcaAtleti
