Benjamin Pavard to Arsenal: Arsenal are interested in bringing the World Cup winning defender to the club.
Benjamin Pavard has been impressive for France at the World Cup in Russia this summer. Justifiably, he has attracted interest from various top European clubs. He was linked with a move to Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich in the summer, but there wasn’t an offer on the table.
German publication Sport Bild now claims that Arsenal have also entered the race to sign the French defender. Bild also reports that Manchester United will be giving a stiff competition to Arsenal for the signing of Pavard.

Real Madrid, meanwhile, have a bid rejected from Stuttgart for Benjamin Pavard, as per the report.
Arsenal’s current first-choice defensive lineup includes Sokratis, Shkodran Mustafi and Rob Holding. While Sokratis has been decent for Unai Emery in the opening games, Mustafi has struggled with form. Rob Holding has not been given enough chances in the Premier League this season.

The club underwent a minor squad overhaul earlier this summer, when long-term club players, Jack Wilshere and Santi Cazorla left Arsenal to make way for Lucas Torreira and Mateo Guendouzi in the midfield.
Arsenal also completed the signings of goalkeeper Bernd Leno, and defenders Sokratis and Stephan Lichtsteiner.
Sport Bild also reports that Stuttgart will not be listening to offers for Benjamin Pavard in January, as they see ‘little sense’ in selling the player mid-way through the season. The report also claims that Real Madrid still have an edge over the other clubs for the transfer.
