Genshin Impact Rust Bow Alternatives: The Rust Bow has been all the hype recently. But, there are much better options if you can’t find one.
Weapons and Characters are two of the most basic, and so, important, aspects of Genshin Impact. To master the forces in the sprawling world of Teyvat, you need to have a good combination. Hence, good weapons are a big bonus to have for ease of progress and the Rust Bow is definitely a great option. But, if for some reason, you cannot find one, it probably isn’t a wise decision to splurge too many bucks on it. And we have a detailed article here on why you shouldn’t do that.
Instead, you should have a look at some of these alternatives.
Genshin Impact Rust Bow Alternatives.
The Rust Bow is a 4-star weapon. So, we’ll stick to other 4-star and 5-stars options as viable ones to use instead. Now, although the normal attack buff on the Rust Bow can feel rather special, it really isn’t the most lethal one out there. In fact, it pales in comparison to some other S-tier and A-tier bows below.
The Amos’ Bow, Skyward Harp, Blackcliff Warbow and the Sacrificial Bow are all much better than the Rust. With base attack level 1 damage of 46, 45, 44 and 43, respectively, they do more damage to start with. Moreover, their passives are much more effective than just increasing normal attack damage.
In @GenshinImpact, you’re on a journey to find your lost sibling. But, first you have to wind through a mysterious world full of dangerous sorcery, and pick up skills to complete your perilous quest.

The Passives.
Amos’ Bow’s passive is way better than the Rust. Unlike the Rust, its passive increases both the normal as well as aimed attack damage. Also, damage scales further based on how long the bow travels in the air between 0.1 to 0.5 seconds. So, the further a target, the harder it’ll strike!
Skyward Harp‘s passive grants you greater critical damage. Also, there is an increased chance of causing AoE damage with increased physical attack damage of 125% every 4 secs at Level 1. This reduces to every 2 seconds at level 5. Great for killing many birds with one stone!
The Blackcliff’s passive is activated once you kill an enemy and it’s a very cool passive! It grants increased attack damage for up to 30 seconds, up to a limit of 3 stacks. This makes it a great option to eliminate the herds of enemies. Not very good for boss fights though.
Finally, we come to the Sacrificial Bow. This one’s passive kicks in when you damage an enemy with an Elemental skill. However, at level one this effect occurs only once every 30 seconds so don’t forget to level it up if you can. That’s because, at level 5, it reduces by more than half to only 14 seconds!

Bottomline.
Now, we know that 2 of these bows are 5-star and two of them 4-star options. So, most of you won’t find two or three of them at drop spots. The chance of finding at least one of these however is very large. After having played the game for a modest 20-30 hrs, you’re sure to get your hand on at least one of these and whichever it is, will be a better option than the Rust.
Also, if on the off chance you do not find any, don’t worry because any of the other 4-star bows will also do a pretty good job. They are at least a much better option than spending a ton for 5 rolls to get the Rust, at the end of which you still may not have it.
So, don’t forget to be on the lookout for these. But most of all, Genshin is a game meant for you to relax and have fun in. So, don’t forget to take it easy and have a good time.
