Manchester City has been one of the top scoring sides over the past few years. The type of attacking football they play makes sure every game is as entertaining as in can be. Under the leadership of the Spaniard Joseph Guardiola, the team from Manchester has taken the league by storm.

With City already having amassed a huge 11-point lead on top of the table scoring 52 goals in 17 matches this season, there has been without a doubt some beautifully crafted goals and a few wonder strikes over the last year.

These strikes have very often been the end results of an amazing pass and play, while others have just been an instinctive strike.

Let’s take a look at the top goals from the Blue side of Manchester this season:

Aguero vs Burnley  ( 02/01/2017 )

Sergio Aguero scored the second goal for Manchester City, who won the match 2-1. He rounded the keeper trying to catch a loose ball and stoked it into the back of the net from an impossible angle.

This goal caught the entire Burnley team by surprise, as they never expected the Argentine international to hit the target from a tight angle, leave alone score.

Kevin De Bruyne vs West Brom ( 22/02/2017 )

Kevin De Bruyne opener opened the scoring for City with a 17th-minute strike against a tough opposition in the form of West Brom. The Belgian midfielder’s goal was a result of a neat interplay between Sergio Aguero and Leroy Sane.

Vincent Kompany vs Crystal Palace ( 06/05/2017 )

An unlikely name on the list, but deservedly so is City’s skipper Vincent Kompany. City thumped Palace 5-0 at home, with the Belgian finding the top corner from De Bruyne’s cross.

A striker’s finish indeed from the Belgian defender, who had a tough start to the season due to the injury that ruled him out.

Fabian Delph vs Palace ( 23/09/2017 )

An 89th-minute stunner in a game already put to rest. The top-corner shelf-decker from the English midfielder Fabian Delph shows how relentless the Citizens are for the title under Guardiola.

The strike from Delph left no chance for Wayne Hennessey, who tried his level best to stop the ball from entering the goal.

De Bruyne vs Chelsea ( 30/09/2017 )

Once again featuring in the list is the midfielder De Bryune. The Belgian scored the only goal of the game against the defending champions. A venomous shot with so much power Courtois could do nothing about it. An absolute cracker from his weaker left foot, which doesn’t look so weak to me.

Fernandinho vs Stoke City ( 14/10/2017 )

Taken on his right foot, the placement and perfection couldn’t have been better. Into the top right corner with a bang. Fernandinho wanted a part of the goals galore and scored one himself. This goal was part of the goal-parade at the Etihad Stadium, against a dismal Stoke City team.

Leroy Sane vs West Brom ( 28/10/2017 )

Sane collected the ball from a well-weighted pass from Silva and tucked it into the back of the net. What’s so special about this? City scored straight from kick-off, with every player taking a minimum of two touches including the keeper. Possession stat at the time Sane scored? Manchester City 100 % – 0% West Brom. A FIFA-esque moment indeed.

Aguero vs Napoli – Champion’s League ( 02/11/2017 )

“Agueeeeeeeeeero” has been the trademark scream for the commentators in the Premier League. This strike from Kun Aguero saw him becoming the all-time top-scorer for the Citizens.

His 178th goal for the club came in the Champions League group stage encounter against the Italian opponents Napoli. The move was started by Leroy Sane, who then flicked to the path of Aguero who finished a low shot past the Napoli shot-stopper.
