The ongoing test series between India and England has been as tough as it can be for the visitors. India, right now, is trailing 0-2. The going has been very tough for the batsmen and they have found it extremely difficult to counter the English bowlers.
All the English bowlers have been very effective but there is a certain 36-year-old man who has particularly stood out.
James Anderson or the king of the swing as they call him has been on a rampage since the start of the test series. Anderson has been making the ball talk, and the amount of swing that Anderson is extracting is making all the Indian fans miss their own king of the swing- Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
The 28-year-old was ruled out of the first 3 tests due to a back injury which he further aggravated during the third ODI at Headingley.
The injury to the pacer came as a major blow to the team as Kumar was expected to exploit the conditions in England to perfection given his ability to swing the ball both ways.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar was expected to gain full fitness by now and was likely to feature in the last two tests as said by The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Now the sources from the NCA in Bengaluru has indicated that the pacer has not recovered as per the expectations to be considered for selection.
However, it is worth noting that the Indian bowlers have performed well despite Kumar’s absence. It is the batsmen who have failed to perform and apply themselves in tough conditions.

News for the team and fans is that Jaspreet bumrah is fit and will be available for selection. Jasprit bumrah is just a series old in test cricket but has been pretty impressive in whatever we have got to see of him.
The third test begins Saturday in Trent bridge with England just a win away from sealing the series, and with the conditions at Trent bridge known to favour the seamers, expect another thriller between the two teams provided the English weather doesn’t really suit the English alone.
