The transfer window has just opened. With clubs paying in the tens of millions to bring in quality players into their squad, let’s take a look at the players who are available for free this summer.
The Japanese international is currently a free agent after his release from AC Milan. He joined Milan in 2013 from CSKA Moscow for a fee of €20m and has been a part of the playing eleven most of his career.
Milan are no longer in need of his services, having signed Andre Silva from FC Porto in search of young blood.

He is fast and has excellent vision, and can be played on either of the wings or as an attacking midfielder.
At 32, he is past his prime, but remains useful when a team are in need of a spark as a substitute, if not starting a game.
The 35-year old shot stopper rose to fame at Barcelona, where he went on to win 3 Champions League, 6 La Liga and 3 Spanish Super Cup titles.
He then moved to the Premier League giants Manchester United as a back to David De Gea and later to Middlesbrough.

The world cup winner is one of the most experienced goal keepers, having played in the Spanish and the English leagues.
He has a few years of football left in him and can potentially be a match-winner for many teams. He can also be the useful backup every team wants to have in terms of need.
The Swede needs no introduction. Having joined United on a free transfer from PSG last summer, he went on to score 20 goals this season.
He was instrumental in the Red Devils finishing 6th, while all his attacking counterparts under performed.
The 35-year old unfortunately got himself injured at the end of the season, and is set to miss the remaining of 2017 if he finds himself a team.
United are looking for a more permanent solution to their striking woes, and have not offered an extension to his previous 1-year contract.
Rumours suggesting a possible return to his former club Juventus have popped up, after he was spotted in Turin along with his agent Mino Raiola.
