Virat Kohli has been enjoying his time off from the grind of international cricket, getting to terms with married life and gearing up for the big reception in Mumbai that has been organised for Virat and Anushka’s friends.

Virat Kohli opted for a brea from international cricket, following the Test series against Sri Lanka, after having played non-stop cricket for the past 2 years.

The Indian team which is currently in Mumbai, preparing for the final T20I against Sri Lanka, will soon depart for South Africa, with the 1st Test scheduled to begin on the 5th of January in Cape Town.

Virat Kohli is all set to return to the nets today, training with his childhood coach, Rajkumar Sharma, who has prepared South Africa like wickets for him in a bid to get him acclimatised to the conditions there.

“We have very little time now, but there’s still a week for practice. We will work on his batting,” Rajkumar Sharma told the media

“Virat is very good at the pull shot and now he’s working on the cut. As a young player, he was fortunate to play on matting wickets at the academy and those pitches helped him deal with short deliveries well. That is why he is comfortable with the short stuff and is not scared of anybody.” Rajkumar Sharma added.

Virat Kohli will be hoping that he can prepare well for the South African tour, as he would want to start off India’s long ‘overseas tour season’ on a high, and would like to replicate the team’s success at home in foreign conditions as well.
