In spite of being one of the best players of his generation, Zlatan Ibrahimovic continues to have many detractors. His move to Manchester United last summer was met with much skepticism, as many people believed that United was signing someone who was was well past his prime.
And boy were they wrong!
The great Swede scored an incredible 28 goals in all competitions before his season was cruelly cut short by an injury. The injury was so serious that many people feared that it could end his career.

But Zlatan’s supreme physique ensured that a full recovery will be made and is expected to make a return by January. His injury meant that United had to release him, making the Swedish captain the hottest free agent in the market.
Ibra showed last season that he still has plenty to offer, which is why there will be a host of clubs who would still want him. At the ripe old age of 35, Zlatan still has the ability and the motivation to perform at the highest level.
And according to Spanish news outlet Diario Gol via the Express, it looks like Zlatan has decided that he would like to join the European champions.

Los Blancos will be looking to strengthen their strike force themselves, but there are reasons why they might be averse to signing Zlatan.
For one, his age is always going to be a concern especially given the fact that he is coming out of a serious injury. His optimistic return date is January, which means he will be absent for at least the first half of the season.

Zlatan’s last outing in Spain did not prove to be a good one. He was bought by FC Barcelona for a humongous fee, but things went south the moment Zlatan’s relationship with Guardiola started deteriorating. It was also reported that Messi did not like having another huge personality like Zlatan in the dressing room, which is why Guardiola had to make a straight choice between the two.
Also, Zidane would not want to have Zlatan’s ego in the dressing room given that he already has a sensitive one in Ronaldo. While football fans would be salivating at the prospect of seeing Ronaldo and Ibrahimovic at the Bernabeu, the chances of such a move happening are quite slim.
But then again, this is the transfer window where in any rumour works!
