Bruno Fernandes Transfer: Portuguese International meets his agent amidst speculations of joining Manchester United this summer.

Manchester United are trying to land Bruno Fernandes from Sporting Lisbon to fortify their squad ahead of the next season, after facing an underwhelming season in the Premier league.

Following it, according to a report by the Manchester Evening News, Fernandes met his agent to discuss his future amidst interest from Manchester United.

The departure of Ander Herrera, and speculations of Paul Pogba leaving the Old Trafford this summer has compelled Manchester United to pursue the Portuguese International to fill the void.

On the other side, the 24-year-old midfielder had a spectacular campaign with Sporting Lisbon, as he scored 32 times for the Portuguese club last season and is viewed as a player capable of sharpening Red Devils’ attack.

Furthermore, Fernandes gained further prominence after playing a crucial role in Portugal’s triumph in UEFA Nations’ league. Therefore, it has surely sky-rocketed his price tag.

The player has a four years remaining with the Portuguese outfit, and hence, they are demanding staggering amount from Manchester United for the services of Fernandes.

Such mighty demands have already made Tottenham to withdraw from the pursuit of the Fernandes. However, Manchester United are ready to reach near to the demands of Sporting Lisbon, and are into the negotiations with the Portuguese club.

With Manchester United’s squad went away for the pre-season tour, the hierarchy at Manchester United will directly have to give a debut to Fernandes during the season, if the player joins the English giants.

Nevertheless, the developments of the negotiations are yet to be seen, with the club still trying to strike a deal with Sporting Lisbon.
