Callum Hudson-Odoi sent a message to Maurizio Sarri after England’s game against Czech Republic on March 23.

English youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi has been in the headlines for quite some time due to a lack of chances at Chelsea.

The 18-year old winger is yet to start a Premier League game under Maurizio Sarri.

Hudson-Odoi made his international debut against the Czech Republic last week and according to reports, he might make his first England start as the side takes on Montenegro in the second Euro qualifier.

The youngster voiced his thoughts at the lack of chances under Maurizio Sarri, and stated that he expects to get into the starting XI under the manager.

Callum Hudson-Odoi on Sarri:

Talking shortly after the game against the Czech Republic, Hudson-Odoi stated he wants to play more for Chelsea.

“I’m not impatient,” the youngster began.

“Obviously, I’m always keen to play football, I love the game. But at times you’ve got to be patient and wait for your chance to come and hopefully many more will come.”

However, he also insisted that an international call-up won’t change the situation, implying that he’ll continue to work harder.

“I always have the same mentality, I’m not going to change because I’ve had one game with the first team (England).”

He also talked about Jadon Sancho, who emerged as one of the best youngsters in Europe after his brilliant performances at Borussia Dortmund.

“We’ve known each other since very young. He’s had a great season and since I’ve been here he’s helped me from day one.

“Always been with me, helped me feel comfortable and be confident. Having a friend like that is always amazing, just to bring you into the team and help you feel yourself and be yourself.”
