Messi and Ronaldo training routine

Messi and Ronaldo training routine: Argentine star Carlos Tevez has opened up on the training routines for Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Carlos Tevez is one of the few footballers who could boast about having played with both, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. Tevez shared the dressing room with Ronaldo during his time at Manchester United, while played with Messi during his stint with the national team.

In a recent interview with depor.com, the Argentine forward opened up on the training routines of both the footballing superstars. Tevez stated that both have contrasting routines in their training sessions.

“Lionel Messi, I never saw him in the gym. I’ve never seen him train in the stops or do technical exercises,” Tevez said on his teammate at Argentina.

“It is all natural to him, but on penalties he trained: first he did not take them and now he shoots them all at the corner,” he added on Messi.

Ronaldo has been popularly known for his intense training routine, as has been already told by his former teammate Patrice Evra. Tevez, who played with the Portuguese star during his time at United, said that Ronaldo was ‘obsessed’ with self-improvement.

“Cristiano always stopped in the gym after training: for him it is an obsession and, being the best in everything, he always arrived at work early. When the training was set for 9 in the morning I arrived at 8 and he was already there. Even if I arrived at 7.30 he was already there.

Carlos Tevez currently plays for Boca Juniors in Argentina, and has been a significant part of both Argentina and Manchester United squads during his time with the teams. He oversaw the rise of both Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi to super-stardom in their career.
