Chelsea News: Hudson-Odoi demands number 10 jersey from Chelsea in contract extension talks

Chelsea News: Callum Hudson-Odoi demands vacant number 10 jersey from Chelsea, which has already been reportedly asked by Willian.

After the departure of Eden Hazard from Chelsea to Real Madrid this summer has left the iconic number 10 jersey at Chelsea vacant. Earlier there were reports that this shirt number will be taken by Willian.

However, according to a report by the Evening Standard that Callum Hudson-Odoi has demanded number 10 jersey while negotiating for his new contract with the Blues.

This condition by the 18-year-old midfielder is reported to be conditional to keep him at the Stamford Bridge as he receives several offers across Europe.

Hudson-Odoi broke into the first team last season, and showed potential to be a top prospect in coming years. Thus, it was important for the West London club to meet the demands of the youngster.

Although, this demand by the English player will probably bring Chelsea‘s hierarchy in a dilemma as Willian being a senior squad member is also looking to grab that number.

So, it looks slim that the Blues will be able to deliver this demand by Hudson-Odoi, as the Brazilian International is a crucial player to Chelsea.

But at the same time the English giants are also facing a threat to lose the player, as the player pose it as a big demand ahead of the negotiations.

It would be viable if the issue be resolved under the new manager Frank Lampard, who is highly regarded at the club, and the youngster shall be convinced.

On the other hand, certain Chelsea fans have shown grievances with Willian being given the number 10 jersey, so they might be delighted to hear this demand by the 18-year-old player.
