Thomas Tuchel Reveals Frank Lampard’s Message : Ex Chelsea Bosshas sent a sublime personal message to Chelsea’s new manager
Things might not have clicked for Frank Lampard at the helm of Chelsea but if there was one thing which shone bright during his stay, it was his personality. Not only was the now old Chelsea manager well versed on footballing topics but came across as an extremely amicable and opening persona as well.
And he’s further alluded to those traits in his message to Thomas Tuchel. The 47 year old new German manager has gone onto reveal the details of the message he received from Lampard after replacing him as Chelsea’s boss.
Lampard Sends Message To Tuchel
“We need our supporters like any team. To have the fans so close and behind the team it makes a real difference. I can assume it is a big, big disappointment for the fanbase to see Frank sacked,” Tuchel said when asked if he feared a backlash from Chelsea’s supporters.
“I was a huge fan of Frank as a player. He was one of the key figures to demonstrate in 90 minutes what Chelsea is about. I have the biggest respect for him.
“It just got bigger when I received a personal message to wish me all the best and maybe meet in the future when this is possible.”
“Honestly, nothing has changed there but in the last 72 hours the club made clear to me this is not my fault. I cannot change the situation for him, the decision was made and I was handed the opportunity. I mean what I say.
“We all have the greatest respect for Frank Lampard’s work and the legacy he created at Chelsea. At the same time, I cannot wait to meet my new team and compete in the most exciting league in football. ‘I am grateful to now be part of the Chelsea family – it feels amazing!”
Lampard’s Parting Message To Chelsea
“It has been a privilege and an honour to manage Chelsea, a club that has been a big part of my life for so long,’ he posted.
“Firstly, I would like to thank the fans for the incredible support that I have received over the last 18 months. I hope they know what that means to me.
“When I took on this role I understood the challenges that lay ahead in a difficult time for the football club,” Lampard had written on Instagram after being asked to step down by Chelsea.
“I am proud of the achievements that we made, and I am proud of the academy players that have made their step into the first team and performed so well. They are the future of the club.
“I am disappointed not to have had the time this season to take the club forward and bring it to the next level.
“I want to thank Mr Abramovich, the board, players, my coaching team and everyone at the club for their hard work and dedication, especially in these unprecedented and challenging times. I wish the team and the club every success for the future.”
