Chelsea Transfer News: Gonzalo Higuain agrees to join this Italian Club

Chelsea Transfer News: Gonzalo Higuain has held personal talks with Roma and has agreed to join the Italian outfit this summer window.

The Argentine forward had a struggling phase in England as he arrived to Chelsea in the middle of the season during winter transfer window on a loan spell.

Despite, joining Maurizio Sarri after a loan spell at AC Milan, the Argentine striker failed to be impressive for the Blues in his brief stint at the Stamford Bridge.

Thus, the hierarchy at Chelsea does not want to extend his stay at the club, even though, the club have the option to extend his loan-spell or sign him permanently. Although, it does not seem that the Blues will opt any of the option.

Thus, according to a report by Calciomercato, Roma have contacted the player to join him this summer. It seems, the player is also not required at Juventus anymore, as they look forward to win European laurels and might go under a squad overhaul.

The 31-year-old striker has been phenomenal in Serie A ever since he joined Napoli in 2013. Therefore, it seems that Roma considers that the striker might continue his exploits in the Italian capital, as he has been doing ever since moving to Italy.

It is further reported that considering his prospects at Juventus and Chelsea, the Argentine striker has decided to agree personal terms with Roma.

However, Roma is still required to make negotiations over the transfer fee for Higuain. The veteran striker still has two years left in his contract with the Turin based club. Thus, Juventus’ demands from Roma cannot be predicted.

Therefore, it looks like the new manager will be able to decide on the matter and negotiations can resume once Juventus resolve their managerial crisis.
