Chris Lynn posts hilarious tweet regarding Jasprit Bumrah after being purchased by Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2020 Auction at his base price of Rs 2 Crore.

The ongoing IPL 2020 Auction started with a bang when the first name to come out of the hat was none other than the explosive Chris Lynn. The Australian, who has made a reputation as a T20 specialist around the world, surprisingly failed to attract bidders as Mumbai Indians picked him unchallenged.

Lynn, who has an excellent record, both in the T20 format and in IPL itself, will certainly prove to be a valuable edition to the reigning IPL Champions. The opener, who has played for Kolkata Knight Riders since 2017, began life as a Mumbai player with a tweet that showed his appreciation for the franchise, his honesty and his humorous side.

In the aftermath of his purchase by Mumbai Indians, Chris Lynn took to twitter and gave a check mark against the positives of playing for the franchise. “Great City, Quality Franchise, Flat Wicket” he wrote before hilariously adding “Don’t have to play Jasprit Bumrah.”

Last season, Chris Lynn amassed 405 runs with an impressive strike rate of 139.65. KKR however, decided to let him go due to the Australian being injury prone. Whether, it is a decision they will regret will be seen will be seen next summer.

Lynn has impressed in T20 leagues around the world. He will be hoping to do the same for his new franchise as well. Mumbai who will be aiming to successfully defend their championship look to have added another potent weapon in their armoury.
