CM Punk: Former WWE Superstar mocks Shane Mcmahon

CM Punk: Former WWE Superstar mocks Shane Mcmahon during his match against The Undertaker and Roman Reigns at WWE Extreme Rules.

CM Punk. The former WWE superstar has time and again said that he will never return to wrestling or the WWE. However, that hasn’t stopped him from commenting on it from time to time. This time the former Champion decided to mock WWE’s prodigal son Shane McMahon.

Ever since his unforgettable pipebomb in 2011, Punk has gone by the moniker ‘Best in the world’. A moniker currently in use by Shane McMahon ever since he won the WWE world cup in Jeddah. Shane has since been added into high profile matches with The Miz, Roman Reigns and now The Undertaker. However, there aren’t many that buy into his self-praise and CM Punk is one among the many. In fact, he pretended to confuse Shane McMahon for a fan in a tweet aimed at mocking the WWE scion.

Punk has since deleted the tweet.

Punk against the WORLD wrestling entertainment

In early April Punk had said that he believed WWE calling Shane the Best in the world was a dig at him.

Per Wrestling Inc, he said: And this is the funny thing about the company, is I could say, ‘Yea that’s a little shot at me,’ And you know, it probably is, but they’d deny it until the cows come home.

CM Punk wrestled for WWE until 2014 and earned much of his fame and name there. However, the Straight edge superstar walked out on the company and threw their dirty laundry in a podcast for everyone to see. WWE and Punk were embroiled in a long fought legal battle over his comments and the case was finally settled last year as the court ruled in Punk’s favor.

Archie is a WWE and UFC Editor/Author at the SportsRush. Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
