COA on Virat Kohli's request

COA on Virat Kohli’s request: COA (Committee of Administrators) have delayed the decision regarding Virat Kohli’s request.

Indian captain Virat Kohli‘s recent request to the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) regarding the permission to the wives of cricketers to accompany them during foreign tours has been delayed by the concerned authorities.

According to the current rule, the wives and girlfriends of cricketers are allowed to stay with their partners for a duration of two weeks while the team is touring overseas.

Apparently, Kohli had requested the board to not put any restraint on the duration of the stay of cricketers’ wives.

The Supreme Court-appointed COA disclosed that the committee is not going to take any immediate decision on the request and is likely to wait until a new set of office-bearers are appointed in the near future.

“Yes he (Virat) had requested, but we are not going to take any decision soon. We have said that we will leave it to the new office bearers. The policy will not change now,” said the COA sources to news agency ANI.

According to reports, it is also believed that the manager of the team Sunil Subramaniam will have to submit a formal request to the board first.

India are currently playing a home series against West Indies and are scheduled to visit Australia next month. The full tour will comprise of three T20Is, four Test matches and three ODIs.
