Legendary Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh had once drawn similarities between him and current Indian captain Rohit Sharma. Both of them share a great camaraderie both on and off the field. They have played together for India as many as 115 times in white-ball formats between 2007-2017.

The cordial bond between Yuvraj and Rohit is publicly known. It appears that their relationship has just become better with time. Yuvraj has often mocked Rohit on social media but has also supported him during tough times. Although not related by blood, Yuvraj considers Rohit’s wife Ritika Sajdeh as his younger sister.
Yuvraj’s last Indian Premier League season at Mumbai Indians had also come under Rohit after he was bought for his base price of INR 1 crore during IPL 2019 auction. Mumbai won the championship, but it was not an ideal one for the southpaw with the bat in hand. He played just four matches where he scored 98 runs with the help of a solitary half-century.
13 Years After First Playing Together For India, Yuvraj Singh Had Once Drawn Similarities With Rohit Sharma
Yuvraj had announced his international retirement amid ICC World Cup 2019. On his first retirement anniversary, he had posted a video on Twitter where he thanked the fans for their support throughout his career. Rohit retweeted the same while expressing an ufulfilled desire of wanting to play more with him.
In return, Yuvraj responded by saying that he played in the team on his merit. On many occasions, he expressed his frustrations about being dropped from the squad. In his tweet, Yuvraj said that there was a time when a few people doubted Rohit as well, but he passed all the tests with flying colours.
Brothaman jitni khele apne dam par khele ! I see the same fire in you . There were times and moments when few people did not believe in you ! But u believed in your self and never gave up and look how far you have come ! Keep doing it again 👊🏽

Rohit turned all the odds around after he started opening in white-ball formats and is now regarded as one of the best moden-day batters. Yuvraj could see the same fire as him in the current Indian skipper.
Highest Yuvraj-Rohit Partnership For India
Although Yuvraj and Rohit never played a Test together, they batted 29 times with each other in the other two formats of international cricket. They added 636 runs together at an average of 24.46 with the help of four half-century partnerships.
Their highest partnership came in an ODI against Pakistan in 2007 in Jaipur. Pakistan had posted a target of 306/6 courtesy of half-centuries from the batting duo of Shoaib Malik and Mohammad Yousuf. India lost their initial four wickets for 62 runs and Yuvraj had walked in to bat at No. 6.
Both the batters then built a strong partnership of 81 runs for the fifth wicket. While right-handed Rohit scored 52 (61), left-handed Yuvraj played a knock of 50 (62). Having said that, it wasn’t enough as India eventually lost the match by 31 runs. Despite the result, the way the two played in that match was brilliant to watch.
