The imminent three-match T20I series between Afghanistan and Pakistan will be the first-ever bilateral series between these two teams across any format. It is noteworthy that Afghanistan and Pakistan had played a one-off bilateral ODI and T20I in 2012 and 2013 respectively but this is going to be the first-ever instance of them playing more than one match in a bilateral series.

In the seven limited-overs matches which Afghanistan and Pakistan have played against each other in the past, Afghanistan have never been able to beat Pakistan even once. As much as they would want to win this series, their primary goal will doubtlessly be to win their first-ever match against this opposition at this highest level.
The last Afghanistan-Pakistan clash is infamously remembered for emotions getting the better out of Asif Ali and Fareed Ahmad as the Pakistani batter and Afghan pacer engaged in an aggressive fight. Although Ali isn’t part of the current Pakistani squad but it wouldn’t be a surprise if there’s another bout between players of these two teams given how Afghanistan-Pakistan matches tend to go down to the wire.
Afghanistan vs Pakistan 1st T20I Live Telecast Channel Channel in India and Pakistan
In what has become a routine affair with respect to international cricket not involving the Indian cricket team, no television channel has come forward to show interest in televising Afghanistan-Pakistan T20Is in India. A pity for the Indian fans, they will still be able to watch these matches on streaming platform FanCode.
That said, the same will require them to buy a paid subscription which will cost INR 49 per one series pass (valid for all the three T20Is). There is neither an option to buy a pass only for the first T20I nor is there a provision to avail any discount provided by the platform.
As far as fans living in Pakistan are concerned, they will be able to watch this series on the ever-reliable PTV Sports. Afghan fans, meanwhile, will have to continue watching their national team’s performance on RTA Sport.
