BBL Winners List: Who had won the last season of Big Bash League?

BBL Winners List: Sydney Sixers had registered their third title victory in the last season of the Big Bash League.

The 10th season of the Big Bash League is all set to begin from tomorrow with defending champions Sydney Sixers set to take on hosts Hobart Hurricanes in the season opener at the Bellerive Oval.

Australia’s premier T20 competition, which also has a solid fan base around the globe, will feature some of the most extravagant T20 names this season. In addition to the tried and tested players, BBL 10 will also comprise of some local and overseas rookie names who might graduate to the highest level on the back of a solid BBL season.

The eight-team tournament will see each team play against each other twice albeit not in an archetype home-away format due to travel restrictions amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. That being said, each one of the prominent Australian venues will get to host matches at some point in the tournament.

BBL 2020-21 will allure additional eyeballs this season primarily due to the introduction of three new laws namely ‘X-factor Player‘, ‘Power Surge’ and ‘Bash Boost’. Originally introduced to increase the fan base, it will be interesting to see how the three laws are perceived by both players and fans for they have it in them to make the game all the more complicated.

BBL Winners List

As far as the last season of the Big Bash League is concerned, Sydney Sixers had registered a 19-run victory in a rain-affected match at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Having lifted their third BBL title, Sixers had joined Perth Scorchers who also have three titled under their belt.

With the imminent season all set to be bereft of out and out home support, it would be interesting to see how teams react to playing under unusual circumstances.
