Bangladesh Premier League 2023 is set to start with the match between Chattogram Challengers and Sylhet Strikers from tomorrow. This is the premier T20 tournament of Bangladesh, and this is one of the four T20 leagues that will run simultaneously. BBL is already going on, and SA 20 League & ILT20 League are set to start soon.

A total of 6 teams took part in the tournament last year, and 7 teams will take part in the tournament this time around. Some of the franchises have changed and that’s why the names of the teams have changed as well. A total of 42 matches will happen in the league stage of the tournament, followed by 4 playoff matches.
The tournament will happen across three cities in Bangladesh i.e. Chattogram, Sylhet and Dhaka. Comilla Victorians won the title last season by defeating Fortune Barishal in the final of the tournament. They would want to repeat the same heroics this time around as well.
With already a lot of leagues going on, the majority of the big overseas names will not take part in the tournament. The majority of the overseas players this season are from Pakistan, Sri Lanka and West Indies only.
