Edgbaston Cricket Ground Weather Forecast: Will It Rain In Birmingham On T20 Blast Finals Day?
T20 Blast is one of those rare competitions where both semi-finals and final happen on the very same day. Edgbaston Cricket Ground is all in readiness of hosting all the three games on Saturday and there is a lot of buzz about the same. However, weather conditions have it in them to play spoilsport as the forecast is not looking great for Finals Day.
Even today’s weather in Birmingham is gloomy and the pitch is under covers. Some top names will take the field tomorrow to win the coveted trophy. Essex, Hampshire, Somerset and Surrey are the four semi-finalists this season. For those who don’t know, defending champions Hampshire Hawks have won the T20 Blast on a record number of times.
Edgbaston Cricket Ground Weather Forecast Tomorrow
According to reliable weather portal AccuWeather, a rainy day is expected in Birmingham on July 15. Rain is quite common in England during this part of the year. While the first semi-final is scheduled to start at 11:00 AM (local time), showers are predicted over the venue from mid-morning to night.
The rain probability is expected to range between 35% and 75% throughout the day. There can be some respite for a couple of hours in the evening, but it doesn’t appear to be enough for uninterrupted matches. Therefore, it shouldn’t come as a surprise if each one of the three matches are shortened due to inclement weather conditions. The temperature, meanwhile, will range between 16 degrees to 19 degrees.
It is worth mentioning that the drainage facility at this stadium is one of the bests in the world. If weather gods permit, the ground staff won’t take much time in preparing the ground for the fastest possible start.
Readers must note that Sunday is a reserve day if any of the three matches on the Finals Day cannot be completed on Saturday. A welcoming update for everyone, however, lies in the fact that Edgbaston weather forecast for Sunday is a little better.
