India started their home season with a 2-run victory over Sri Lanka in Mumbai, and it added another win for team India under Hardik Pandya’s captaincy. Hardik was aggressive in his approach, and the way he rotated his bowlers was brilliant to watch as well during the game.
The decision of bowling Axar Patel in the last over of the match was an interesting call as Hardik also had his quote of overs left. However, Axar managed to get the win for India. It was later revealed that Hardik was suffering from cramps, but there is no injury scare.
It is unknown whether the senior players will be used in the T20 format going forward, but it is certain that Hardik has done well as the captain of the side so far. He will definitely be looking to continue the same in the upcoming matches.

After impressing with his captaincy skills in the IPL 2022 with Gujarat Titans, the role of Hardik got elevated in the national team as well. He was given the charge to lead the Indian T20I side in the series against Ireland when the senior players were busy preparing for the test against England.
India won the series easily by beating Ireland in both matches. He then led India in a T20I match against West Indies, and India won that match as well. Hardik then had to wait till the New Zealand tour to lead the side again. The senior players again took a rest after the T20 World Cup, and Hardik was given the duties again.
India won one game in New Zealand, one match got tied, and one match got abandoned. So, it is safe to say that India have done really well under Hardik’s captaincy, and they are yet to lose a match under his tenure. He has led India in 6 matches so far, where Team India won 5 matches and one match got tied.
