Hobart Hurricanes vs Melbourne Renegades head to head: HUR vs REN head to head in BBL history

Hobart Hurricanes and Melbourne Renegades will be locking horns with each other for the first time in 11 months in the 14th match of the ongoing 12th season of the Big Bash League in Hobart in less than 100 minutes from now.

Hurricanes, who have won four out of their last five matches against Renegades, had emerged as the victorious side during their last meeting at the Docklands Stadium earlier this year. Much like matches played at the Bellerive Oval, matches between these two teams in the month of December also don’t have a clear-cut favourite per se.

As far as BBL 2022-23 points table is concerned, Hobart are at the sixth position on the back of winning one and losing two out of their three matches thus far. Having also played three matches thus far, Melbourne are at the second position on the table after winning all their matches till now.

Set to play their second home match of the season, HH will be without captain Matthew Wade after he has been handed a one-match suspension ban. As a result, former Australia captain Tim Paine, who has been roped in into the squad, might get an opportunity to play a BBL match after almost half-a-decade.
