The iconic Eden Gardens has become the first stadium to officially share a ticket-related development with respect to ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. One of the 10 venues to host matches during a marquee event to be played in India later in the year, there will be three different ticket price categories across a total of five matches that are to be played in Kolkata.

CAB (Cricket Association of Bengal) announcing World Cup 2023 ticket prices last night has provided a glimmer of hope to fans planning to watch matches in the remaining nine cities as well. Needless to say that both the announcement of fixtures and putting out information regarding tickets has happened (and happening) at a snail-like pace and in a lackadaisical manner.
Speaking of the ticket prices, the matches to be played here have been unofficially divided into three groups. While the first match between Bangladesh and Netherlands will comprise of cheapest tickets, tickets of matches between Bangladesh and Pakistan and England and Pakistan will be priced comparatively higher.
Additionally, two high-profile contests between India and South Africa and the second semi-final will require the fans to spend the maximum amount of money apropos this stadium. All in all, the cheapest ticket to watch a World Cup match here would cost a fan INR 650 as compared to the most expensive ticket costing INR 3,000.

Even though renowned ticketing platform BookMyShow sells tickets of some international bilateral cricket matches in India, there is no confirmation at this point in time about the same happening for 2023 World Cup.
In fact, there is no confirmation whatsoever relating to when and where will tickets be sold for this competition.
