The preparations for IPL 2023 are underway, and the first step will be the IPL auctions tomorrow. This is a mini-auction, and the teams were allowed to retain any number of players they wanted ahead of the auction process. Every team has a limited amount left in their purse.

Gujarat Titans are the defending champions, and they freed a significant amount of money by trading their players. The teams like Sunrisers Hyderabad and Punjab Kings have the maximum amount left in their purse, and they can bid really high for some players in the auction.

The day is almost here where over 400 players will go under the hammer and try their luck in the auction. It is well known that there is a lot of excitement among the fans as the auction is one of the most entertaining parts of the tournament. Some star names will also be on the auction table for their respective teams.

Earlier this year, BCCI sold the media rights of the tournament, and for the first time in history, the TV rights and digital rights were won by different companies. Star won the TV rights, whereas Viacom 18 won the digital rights. So, Star Sports will broadcast the match on TV, but Disney+Hotstar will not broadcast the auction digitally.

This time the auction will be broadcasted digitally on Jio Cinema for free. Jio Cinema is a part of Viacom 18 only, and it also recently broadcasted the FIFA World Cup as well. It is great for the fans that they will be able to watch the auction for free on both mobile and web platforms.
