Sawai Mansingh Stadium Jaipur Pitch Report for RR vs LSG IPL 2023 Match

The 26th match of Indian Premier League 2023 will be played between Rajasthan Royals and Lucknow Super Giants at Jaipur’s Sawai Mansingh Stadium. Rajasthan’s form has been great lately, and they would be eager to continue it at their home venue.

The Royals are at the top of the table with four wins in five matches in the tournament so far. Batter Shimron Hetmyer has been great as the finisher of the side, whereas captain Sanju Samson’s form has been terrific as well. With the kind of bowling attack they have, it will be difficult to beat them.

Lucknow Super Giants have also played some decent cricket this season. The fact that wicketkeeper Quinton de Kock is not able to break into the side proves the depth of this team. Captain KL Rahul scored a half-century in the last match but his impact has not been great.

Sawai Mansingh Stadium is set to host its first match of the ongoing season. This track is not a flat one like we are habitual of seeing at other venues. A fresh pitch will be used in this match and the pacers always get some kind of movement in the initial overs from this wicket.

There is a good amount of bounce on this track and the batters will love the ball coming on their bat. The outfield is super fast here and the ball will race away to the boundary once placed in the gap.

However, this is one of the biggest stadiums in the country in terms of boundary size. Hitting sixes won’t be easy here, the batters will need to be quick between the wickets as there will be chances for taking three runs as well.

The bigger boundaries will bring the spinners into play in the middle-overs. A total of seven matches were played here in IPL 2021, where the average first innings score was 163 runs. Out of those seven matches, six were won by the chasing teams. Both captains would love to bat second after winning the toss in this match.
