The sixth match of International League T20 will be played between Sharjah Warriors and MI Emirates in Sharjah. One of the three ILT20 2023 venues, Sharjah Cricket Stadium will be hosting its first match of the season tonight.

A stadium which has hosted the third-highest number of international matches across formats will be hosting its first T20 since ICC T20 World Cup 2022. Apart from international cricket, Sharjah has hosted close to 150 Men’s T20s which comprises being witness to several T20 competitions.

Sharjah has a knack of being a high-scoring venue in the general run of things. A venue which has seen multiple T20 innings totals in excess of 200 has also been witness to four successful T20 run-chases over the 200-run mark.

The above mentioned fourth-highest innings totals at this stadium is also the highest successful run-chase here in this format. Individual half-centuries by Sanju Samson (85), Rahul Tewatia (53) and Steven Smith (50) had played a key role in sealing a 224-run chase with three balls to go.

The match is fondly remembered for Tewatia hitting five sixes in a Sheldon Cottrell over to power his team to a record IPL run-chase.
