Sheffield Shield 2020-21 All Teams Squads and Player List

Sheffield Shield 2020-21 All Teams Squads: The SportsRush present before you full squads of teams taking part in Sheffield Shield 2020-21.

Sheffield Shield, Australia’s most prestigious first-class tournament, will recommence from February 17 after a more than three-month gap due to international cricket and the 10th season of the recently concluded Big Bash League.

It is worth mentioning that the tournament had originally begun in the second week of October to kick-start cricket down under amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

Defending champions New South Wales will host Victoria in the first match after the break at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Having won two out of their three matches so far, New South Wales are at the second position on the points table. Victoria, on the other hand, are at the fifth position on the back of drawing both their matches in the first leg.

Queensland, who are the current table-toppers, will also resume the tournament from February 17 as they are scheduled to face Tasmania in an away fixture.

Uncertain of playing in their first match next week due to a shoulder injury which he suffered during India Tests, Victoria opening batsman Will Pucovski is currently the top-scorer with 495 runs in three innings including a couple of centuries.

Queensland spinner Mitchell Swepson, who won’t take part either due to a neck complaint, was the highest wicket-taker with his 23 wickets in three matches coming at an average and strike rate of 21.17 and 52.5 respectively.
