Shikhar Dhawan Record in Mohali: How Many Runs has Punjab Kings' Captain Scored at PCA IS Bindra Stadium?

Punjab Kings‘ captain Shikhar Dhawan is having an excellent IPL 2023 season. In three matches so far, he has scored 225 runs an average of 225 including a couple of half-centuries. He played a knock of 99* in the latest match against Sunrisers Hyderabad, but the Kings still ended up on the losing side.

Tonight, Punjab will go head to head against the defending champions Gujarat Titans in Mohali. This will be the second IPL match of this season here. The home side had managed to defeat Kolkata Knight Riders in the first game they played at the PCA Stadium.

Dhawan is currently leading in the Orange Cap race, and the Punjab’s fans would want to see ‘Gabbar’ roar throughout the season. Punjab had signed Dhawan before IPL 2022 at a price of INR 8.25 crores. He was made the captain ahead of this season after last season’s captain Mayank Agarwal got released.

Shikhar Dhawan Record in Mohali

Dhawan has some really good memories of playing in Mohali. He made his Test debut here in 2013, and it was one of the best innings of his life. Dhawan took the Australian bowlers to the cleaners. He scored 187 (174) with the help of 33 boundaries and a couple of sixes almost a decade ago.

Even in ODIs, Dhawan has enjoyed the conditions at this very ground. In three matches Dhawan has played here, he has managed to score one century and half-century each. Although, his T20I and IPL record is not that great. He would definitely want to improve that record in IPL 2023.

Shikhar Dhawan IPL record against Gujarat Titans

The bowling line-up of Gujarat looks quite strong, and the Kings will rely on their skipper yet again. Dhawan played a couple of matches against the Titans last year, and he performed really well.

Dhawan scored 97 runs in two matches, which included a knock of 62 runs in the second match. However, his strike-rate was just 116.87, and he will look to improve that aspect of his game on Thursday.
