A total of 13 different teams have won the tournament so far. Surrey won the inaugural edition of the tournament by defeating Warwickshire (called Birmingham Bears nowadays) in their final match. Even this season, Surrey have a brilliant squad with international players like Jason Roy, Sam Curran, etc in their ranks.
Leicestershire and Hamphire have won the titles three times each. The Foxes won their last last title in 2011, but they have a decent enough squad this season around and would look to add one more title in front of their name.
Kent, Northamptonshire and Nottinghamshire have won the championship a couple of times each. Essex, Lancashire, Middlesex, Somerset, Surrey, Sussex, Birmingham Bears and Worcestershire have won it one time each.
Somerset have played in as many as five finals so far which is the maximum by team any team in the competition. They won it in 2005 but were on the losing side in 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2021.
