During the second day of the first Test of the ongoing India’s tour of Australia in Adelaide, India captain Virat Kohli timed his dive to perfection to dismiss Australia all-rounder Cameron Green.
India, who had previously seen Jasprit Bumrah, Wriddhiman Saha and Prithvi Shaw dropping Marnus Labuschagne, were given an example from the captain himself despite him also dropping a sitter during the white-ball leg of the tour.

It all happened on the third delivery of the 41st over when Green’s attempt to make optimum use of a short delivery from India spinner Ravichandran Ashwin led to his downfall.
While the debutant judged the length well and was quick to play the pull shot, he couldn’t find the gap as well as he would’ve wanted. Kohli, who was fielding at mid-wicket, dived to his right to complete a magnificent catch.
Coming in to bat at No. 4 in the 35th over, Green ended up scoring 11 (24) with the help of one four in his first Test innings. The right-hand batsman’s departure has brought Australia captain Tim Paine in to bat as the hosts have lost half their side for not too many runs on the board.
