WATCH: MS Dhoni Hilariously Smacks Deepak Chahar on Head Ahead of CSK vs DC Match in Chennai

Chennai Super Kings skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni has yet again hogged the limelight akin the previous seasons, with fans and experts enjoying every bit of his tactical moves and the cameos with the bat, in what is perhaps the ‘last phase of his Cricketing career’.

One of the most respected figures in the cricketing fraternity, Dhoni is also like a father-figure for scores of players who have grew up watching him play, and the man himself makes sure to create an environment where he makes sure they feel at-ease around him.

One such light-hearted moment was captured at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai tonight, where the 41-year-old was seen having a go at fellow CSK teammate Deepak Chahar while wearing a really serious look on his face.

The incident perhaps had taken place a few minutes before the start of the ongoing IPL 2023 match between CSK and Delhi Capitals. Chahar was seen standing alongside CSK’s former allrounder and present bowling coach Dwayne Bravo, when Dhoni, in all seriousness, suddenly threw his hand at Chahar as he walked past the duo.

However, the CSK skipper had simply threatened to smack him hard, and had actually not made any contact with his head or face.

It had appeared that Chahar might have been discussing on some issue with Bravo, but had stopped midway upon seeing his skipper approaching. Both Chahar and Bravo, later, saw the funny side of Dhoni’s yet another out-of-the-box move.

When Rohit Sharma had a similar go at Ishan Kishan once

Exactly a couple of months ago, team India captain Rohit Sharma had threatened wicket-keeper batter Ishan Kishan in a more or less similar manner, during the fourth Test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Ahmedabad.

Kishan had accidentally dropped the water bottle from his hand as he was hastily scampering back towards the dressing room, only for Sharma to threaten throwing a slap at him for the mistake. Read more on the incident by clicking here.
