Marnus Labuschagne and Shubman Gill: The two cricketers were caught exchanging words on the stump mic at the SCG.

During the second day of the third Test of the ongoing India’s tour of Australia in Sydney, Australia batsman Marnus Labuschagne and his Indian counterpart Shubman Gill were involved in an on-field banter.
It all happened in the third over of the Indian innings right after Gill defended a Mitchell Starc delivery. Getting ready to face the next delivery, Gill was asked a question by Labuschagne, who was fielding at short leg.
“Who is your favourite player,” Labuschagne asked Gill. With the Indian batsman laying emphasis on answering after the match, Labuschagne subsequently asked him if it is one out of Sachin Tendulkar or Virat Kohli.
It is worth mentioning that there was nothing objectionable during the banter between the two young players.

Facing a nine-over spell before the tea break, Gill and Rohit Sharma looked confident against the likes of Starc, Josh Hazlewood and Pat Cummins.
Resuming from their overnight score of 166/2, Australia would be a tad disappointment after getting bundled out for 338 in 105.4 overs. Having said that, a huge sense of relief for them came in the form of batsman Steven Smith’s 27th Test century.
Top-scoring for the hosts, Smith contributed with 131 (226) in addition to Labuschagne scoring a good-looking 91 (196). With bowling figures of 18-3-62-4, India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was the pick of their bowlers.
