With Stuart Broad As Brand Ambassador, Sage Launches Competition Worth £60,000 In The Hundred 2023

Former England fast bowler Stuart Broad might have announced his retirement from international cricket but he does have a jam-packed schedule comprising various activities in the days to come. While he might enjoy hitting the golf course, he will have to shoulder some extra responsibility in taking care of the family, especially her recently-born daughter Annabella.

He will also be seen commentating a few matches in the ongoing season of The Hundred, and has plans to invest more of his time to his gastropubs – co-owned by another former English bowler in Harry Gurney.

Moreover, with the third season of The Hundred men’s and women’s competition up and running, the 37-year-old has collaborated with the Fintech giant Sage to come up with a great opportunity for small business owners in helping them promote their business and eventually grow.

Sage is a British multinational enterprise software company principally engaged in development, distribution and support of business management software, and related products and services for medium-sized and smaller businesses.

With Stuart Broad As Brand Ambassador, Sage Launches Competition Worth £60,000 In The Hundred 2023

As the official insights partner of The Hundred, Sage has launched a competition in which one lucky small business owner will receive a £10,000 grant for his/her business along with a year’s worth of expert guidance, Sage products, and advice. As per Sage’s official website, the company will also provide the owner £50,000 worth of exposure for the business, which would include advertising, social media promotion, and PR support.

Moreover, the winner will also be provided with match tickets for their business staff and customers as well, plus an opportunity to meet a few of the cricketing stars featuring in The Hundred. Finally, the winner’s business logo will also be displayed across the different venues of The Hundred next year.

As far as the competition is concerned, small business owners can enter the same by registering themselves via the company website. These people will be provided with an opportunity to showcase their business to a judging panel including the ECB and Sage. People who are eligible to enter the competition include retailers, service providers, accountants and not for profits.

Apart from the sole winner, there will be 11 separate award winners for the runners-up position as well. These business owners will receive three hospitality tickets to The Hundred 2023 and a 12-month individualized product offer from Sage.

Stuart Broad Throws Light On Issues For Small Businesses

As an ambassador of Sage, Broad has opened up on the need to have proper guidance, advices and publicity/promotion for small business owners. Praising the aforementioned competition as part of an initiative by Sage and ECB, Broad remarked that not only does it provide the small business the required financial assistance, but also the best of mentoring and an opportunity for its ideal publicity.

“We get how crucial it is for small business owners to receive guidance and publicity. This competition from Sage is great because it not only provides financial assistance but also mentoring, networking and opportunities that could make a huge difference for a business.”

It is worth of a mention that Broad has had a direct experience of the difficulties and host of problems he has had to face as the co-owner of a couple of pubs in Nottinghamshire, especially during the pandemic and after one of it (Tap & Run) was wrecked due to fire last year.

Broad, along with his business partner Gurney, have had to splurge to the tune of £1.3 to have their fire-ravaged pub get back on its feet.
