Cristiano Ronaldo claims he deserves more Ballon D'ors than Lionel Messi

Cristiano Ronaldo claims he deserves more Ballon D’ors than his arch-rival Lionel Messi, in an exclusive interview with Piers Morgan.

Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are competing against each other since more than a decade, and both the players are still not tired while out-beating each other.

Ronaldo, on the one side, respects his rivalry with the Barcelona man but at the same time opines that he is the best player of this generation and maybe of all time.

In a recent interview with Piers Morgan, Cristiano Ronaldo spoke a lot about his life from professional to personal, the Portuguese International was open about his life throughout.

Amidst, all of it the 34-year-old superstar once again spoke about his rivalry with Lionel Messi, and claims that he deserves more Ballon D’ors than Messi.

When asked what trophy record he wants to set before he retires, the Juventus forward said, via the Daily Mail: “The most golden balls in the history of football. I will love it and I think I deserve it.

“Messi is a fantastic guy and a fantastic player, but I think after I have six, or seven, or eight then I’ll be more above him.”

Meanwhile, both the players are tied with 5 Ballon D’ors so far in their career, and for around a decade, only these two lifted the award until Luka Modric broke the streak.

Ronaldo has never failed to hide his belief that he is the best player in history, and have constantly claimed it confidently in previous interviews.

“I cannot control what the people like, some people like this player or that player,” the former Manchester United and Real Madrid player added.

“For me, (I am) the number one in history. I know I’m one of the greatest ever in the history of football.”

For most of the experts, coaches, and players Messi is the true greatest of all time, although some back Ronaldo too. However, when it comes to self-belief, nobody can beat Ronaldo, and it is something, which makes him do better every time.
