The Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has not had a gala time during the first few weeks of the domestic competition. Despite being the club’s highest goal-scorer, the striker has only scored one goal in the tournament, after taking over 45 shots on goal. Following this, reports suggest that Ronaldo’s Real Madrid future is in jeopardy.

Ronaldo since the start of the year 2017 has hinted multiple times that he is unhappy at the club, and wishes to move away from the club, possibly a return to his former club Manchester United. However, since then no move has materialised for the forward while the striker has a €1bn release clause in his current contract with the club.

Since the last season, Spanish midfielder Isco has taken over the scoring with regular and crucial goals for the Spanish club. This season, several footages have shown us that the striker is sulking and regularly seen frustrated after missing chances.

The four reasons specified by the Spanish outlet AS:

As per the famous Spanish outlet AS, Ronaldo has specified four reasons for his exit from the club. The first of the four is Madrid’s pursuit of the 18-year-old wonder boy Kylian Mbbape. According to AS, Ronaldo thought that Zinedine Zidane’s interest in the highly-rated French teenager was a personal insult towards him and demanded that if they got him, they would let him leave.

Another reason for his anger is the club’s pursuit for former Barcelona winger Neymar. A similar view on Neymar is the reason for his anger.

Despite earning a ridiculous amount as it is (€21m a season), his salary actually pales in comparison to Neymar (€35m) and Lionel Messi (€40m) is the third reason for his possible exit.

While the three reasons are not so evident, the fourth one is pretty much personal for the striker. The on-going tax case has given the Portuguese striker a headache or two, while Real Madrid did not support him much during his trial.
